"Before [working with Julie] I had given up and accepted that this is just how my body is.  I honestly didn't believe I could do anything different.  I had never been an athlete, nor ever worked out.  The only way I ever challenged myself was mentally.  The only physical challenge was having children.
 
I was in denial. I was invincible.  Nothing could hurt me.  But I realized that I actually was weak and human.  In my second pregnancy, I learned about diabetes that I could not control and was advised I was a high risk for getting it again later in life unless I made some life changes in the way I managed my food and exercise.
 
After daily shots of insulin, I realized diabetes was not for me.  After my aunt who struggled with diabetes passed from a heart attack, I saw what could be in my future and did not want to see myself slip down the slope.  She had always put others first.
 
I decided to try something that I had never prioritized before.  "ME"
 
I put myself first and the benefits only multiplied.  I became happier, more influential to others, grew in confidence and satisfied with a greater knowledge of my boundaries. 
Food matters.  Exercise matters.  Sleep matters.  I matter.

"I first met  Julie when my oldest was 5 months old, looking for help getting myself back on track after having a baby. It’s fair to say that I fell in love with her right away. "After trying everything under the sun with hardly any real lasting results, I decided to [work with Julie] after a friend from work suggested it.  I had never been happy with the way my body looked. I had always felt overweight.
 
 I can now fit into a size smaller pants comfortably! I have never worn a size 10 and couldn't believe that I was able to fit in them! I can see more muscle definition and feel comfortable wearing a tank top now. I'm feeling fit and definitely lighter overall.
 
 I've learned that losing pounds isn't necessarily the goal. Before I would drop 15 pounds crash dieting, but I didn't get the look I wanted. I don't look at the scales to measure my progress, it's about how I feel in my clothes! I've also learned that body change isn't quick. It's not supposed to be, but that doesn't mean you don't see results as you go along.
